The incidence of pregnancies located within a cesarean scar or “cesarean-scar ectopics”
has risen with increasing rates of cesarean delivery [

] and likely with advances in imaging technology and diagnostic awareness. The incidence
of pregnancies located within a cesarean scar is estimated to be 1 in 2000 pregnancies
and cesarean-scar ectopic pregnancies accounts for 6.1% of ectopic pregnancies in
women with a cesarean scar [

]. These pregnancies are now recognized as part of the continuum of morbidly adherent
placenta including placenta accreta [
